UNICEF is the United Nations Children’s Fund. It was established on December 11th, 1946. The purpose of UNICEF is to provide developmental and humanitarian aid and assistance to children and mothers in developing nations. UNICEF works to uphold the Convention of the Rights of the Child and to establish a safe and secure lifestyle for the children of the world. UNICEF was originally established to provide emergency food and healthcare to the countries that had been devastated by World War II. In 1953, UNICEF became a permanent fixture in the United Nations system. Six years later, in 1959, the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Declaration of the Rights of the Child, which defined a child’s right to protection, education, health care, shelter and good nutrition.

Eva is an avid MUNer who has been attending MUN conferences since 7th grade. She has
been studying in Oakridge since 7th grade. She has been part of JMUN for 3 years. This
is her 1st year as an executive board member for JMUN. She is been part of FAO, WHO and
ECOSOC. She is very passionate about History and biology. In her free time, she composes
music writes lyrics she also has an international chess ranking and loves to play
soccer.
Ronav Som Kiran

Ronav is an avid sportsman, MUNer and reader. He can either be seeing shooting hoops,
rock climbing or reading a good book. Ronav has gone to the national level rock climbing
tournament and is the 3rd best rock climber in Karnataka. He is a caring and open-minded
person always ready to help people in need.
Keerthi Chalavadi

Keerthi has been to 2 jmuns where she was in FAO and DISEC. Keerthi likes to sit down
and read a good book, baking, drawing and painting during her free time. She is also
passionate about biology.
