ECOSOC (The United Nations Economic and Social Council) is dedicated to establishing global frameworks that promote a higher standard of living. Being established by the United Nations Charter in 1945 and consisting of 54 member states, ECOSOC is one of the six principal organs of the United Nations. The committee is responsible for finding solutions to various international economic, social and environmental issues.

Kashvi is an enthusiastic MUNer with four years of MUN experience, including three
JMUNs.
She’s excited to come back as a member of the Executive Board. She loves spending her
free
time listening to music, reading, and rewatching Brooklyn Nine-Nine. She looks forward
to
hearing the wonderful ideas the delegates bring to the table!
Gladius Eva James

Eva is an avid MUNer who has been attending MUN and JMUN conferences for the past five
years.
She has been studying in Oakridge since 7th grade. This is her 2nd year as an executive
board
member for JMUN. She has been part of FAO, WHO, UNICEF, ECOSOC and many more committees
as a
delegate and an Executive board member. She is very passionate about Business, Music and
Biology.
In her free time, she composes music. she also has an international chess ranking and
loves to
play football.
Aarnav Bhattar
(Moderator)
Aarnav is the latest addition to the MUN. With little previous experience, he comes in
all guns blazing and is more than ready to take up the daunting but exhilarating task of
being moderator for ECOSOC (don't worry he’s learning everything he’s got to). He tries
his best to get along with people and will stop at nothing to make sure all opinions are
heard. Being his first time, Aarnav is very grateful for his opportunity to build his
career by doing what he really loves.
Riya Iyengar
(Moderator)
Riya is a passionate MUNer, with a previous experience of 3 years in JMUN.
Participating in committees such as UNEP, WHO and UNICEF in the past, she
has learned to draft unique and effective resolutions for solving global
issues. She looks forward to moderating the ECOSOC committee this year, and
engaging in insightful discussions with the delegates.
