The United Nations Disarmament and International Security council, also known as DISEC, is the General Assembly First Committee. It establishes policies related to armament and disarmament, to ensure international peace and security.

Keerthi KSKM Chalavadi (Co-Chair)
Keerthi is a passionate MUNer who has attended 5 MUN’s in her 4 years of experience. Keerthi has also had experience being a part of the EB in the last 2 previous editions of JMUN. She is also an artist as well as an active reader. When she’s not debating, she spends endless hours listening to music or enjoying a good movie. She looks forward to debate and would like to see first timers and experienced delegates engage and enjoy the conference!

Yajwin Krishna (Co-Chair)
“Democracy is so overrated” - Frank underwood (House of cards)

Yajwin has been an enthusiastic MUNer , having participated in 4 conferences and having been placed twice. This is his 5th Year with the Bangalore JMUN and second time as an EB member. His deep routed passion for international affairs and policy making coincides with his interest in MUN which he brings to the looks forward to bringing to table for the conference. He hopes to see fruitful discussion about an intriguing agenda and would love to see how the delegates reach consensus on a resolution over the two days. Outside MUN Yajwin loves to take part in film competitions and play sports.

Amrita Milan (Moderator)
Amrita is enthusiastic about MUN and has been awarded outstanding delegate in her two-time experience. She’s passionate about debates and advocates for social justice through her writing. Apart from MUN, she enjoys reading a good book, writing and binge-watching as many shows as possible. She is excited and looks forward towards being part of the executive board. And overall hopes for DISEC to be a successful committee, where delegates can engage in fulfilling discussion and enjoy the conference.

Soumyajit Roy (Moderator)
Soumyajit Roy is a charismatic person who loves public speaking and diplomacy. Having attended seven Model United Nations (MUN) conferences and won one commendable and honorable delegate award, which highlights his exceptional diplomatic and negotiating abilities. Soumyajit has a wide range of interests outside of MUNs. He enjoys playing chess and football, two sports where his tactical reasoning and sense of teamwork stand out. In addition, he is an enthusiastic developer, demonstrating his affinity for creative problem-solving and technological innovation. He is excited to see what experience JMUN will bring for him and is ready to enjoy the conference.
