Agenda: Addressing nations’ responsibilities to minimize marine pollution and its effects.


The United Nations Environment Programme is a programme of the United Nations that Coordinates environmental operations of the organisation and assists developing nations in applying policies and procedures that are environmentally beneficial. UNEP's efforts cover a broad variety of issues with respect to the atmospheric, marine and terrestrial ecosystem problems, environmental governance and green economy.

This year, the programme will be evaluating a nations’ role in minimising marine pollution and mitigating its effects.
